Big Thanks!
Dear McK 79er,
Please accept our sincerest thanks for your role in making the 40th Anniversary Reunion Celebration an absolute sucess by any measure. The Reunion Committee, the Operations Committee, elected officers, class members who provided their special talents, volunteers, vendors, service providers, advertisers and all those that attended are all due a debt of gratitude for their contribution -- great or small. Because of you, we had more than 60 classmates to participate. There was more than 100 people in attendance at the banquet. Roughly 20 classmates toured the school and met with the principal, Dr. Pitre, and student leaders to discuss the future of the school. Roughly thirty classmates attended church at New Ark where 79er Paris Poole is an associate pastor. Finally, it is estimated that more than 200 79ers, family members, and friends attended the picnic on Sunday. Wow! What a weekend!
The reunion in 1999 had more classmates in attendance, but when considering the overall attendance for all three days, this year's event is the most well attended reunion this class has ever had. This success could not be achieved without you. So we thank you and ask that you commit to staying engaged and involved with your class. More plans are on the horizon to create joyful celebrations and to also positively impact the community. You will be hearing more in the months to come and your contribution is welcome. We look forward to even greater success. God is good, and 79 is doing fine!
Sincerely,
Henry Dickerson, Sr.
